Andy snapped this picture in front of our building this morning. I walk by these flowers everyday and they look almost fuzzy, but when you look at them up close they are quite intricate.
Since we had such a warm spring we landscaped the terrace very early this year - somewhere around Easter weekend if I remember correctly (view picture here). It is now in full bloom - petunias, begonias, sweet potato vine, and a few different types of coleus and ivy. The tomato plant is a few feet tall, but no tomatoes yet.
The roof of the parking structure at the gym has a great panoramic view of the city. This is an official "note to self" that I need to bring the good camera over there and make a proper panorama.
These are the last of the phonecam pics from Zihuatanejo.
This is me and the bilingual hotel parrot named Alfredo. Everything was fine at this point, but then he climbed onto my back and started to explore my braided hair with his beak. Bad bird. Yes, I've got a bit of a sunburn that is mostly peeled off by now.
You can't see it real well, but there's a giant dragonfly on the end of the leaf. Just one of the many flying and crawling creatures that seemed to find my gringo blood tasty.
We spent our last day hiding from the sun under a palapa on the beach.
