Today's pictures were shot on the Botswana trip, at the Linyati Trails Camp. I chose to post them today because they summarize my feelings about my travel situation yesterday :)
As I mentioned before, we got pretty lucky with bird photos on this trip. Of course, we have hundreds of out of focus ones, especially of a silly Pel's Fishing Owl who simply refused to emerge from a very dense tree, but every once in a while the photo gods were with us.
Today's video is from back at the end of May when we visited Mala Mala. On our second day we found one of the Styx pride lionesses with two cubs. Our ranger explained that the cubs were around four months old, but that the smaller one could be a runt or it could be from a different litter. There are usually one to four cubs in a litter, but because of starvation and predators only about 20% of them make it to two years old.
