Wednesday, October 07, 2009 The sunrise yesterday was positively luminous.  This HDR image, taken a minute later, more accurately depicts the color spectrum - everything from patches of blue sky to bursts of yellow and orange where the sun was breaking over the horizon. The clouds appear more painterly in this image because they actually moved in between exposures. 
Tuesday, October 06, 2009 Andy shot this sunset last Wednesday when I was in New York. Chicago still had hopes of hosting the 2010 Olympics back then and the Hancock was illuminated with the colors of the Olympic rings.  The following morning he captured this unusual sunrise that included some building reflections in the clouds. 
Monday, October 05, 2009 Sunday proved to be the better looking days of the weekend, with white puffy clouds giving way to a clear reflected sunset.   Move your mouse over the image to see the color versions.
