This HDR image, taken a minute later, more accurately depicts the color spectrum - everything from patches of blue sky to bursts of yellow and orange where the sun was breaking over the horizon. The clouds appear more painterly in this image because they actually moved in between exposures.
Andy shot this sunset last Wednesday when I was in New York. Chicago still had hopes of hosting the 2010 Olympics back then and the Hancock was illuminated with the colors of the Olympic rings.
The following morning he captured this unusual sunrise that included some building reflections in the clouds.
