The more I dig through my files, the more things I find that I completely forgot about.
For example, I remembered that I have an entire audio recorder full of random sounds from South Africa and Botswana. It took me a while to figure out how to remove the files, but once I did I found some GREAT audio clips.
The first one of interest is some very worked up chimps at the Jane Goodall Sanctuary – and yes, I COMPLETELY forgot about this excursion when I wrote the Nelspruit page. If you have seen the program Chimp Eden on Animal Planet, then you are familiar with the sad stories behind the chimps that wind up here. Though it was kind of a depressing tour, on a happy note, the chimps are much better off at the sanctuary.
