Another fun find from the little audio recorder: a purring (or maybe growling) lion !
If I remember correctly, this clip came from a night game drive at Kirkman’s Kamp. It was just after dusk and we were following a pride of six lions, except there turned out to be WAY more lions than initially reported. The Land Cruisers are completely open, so it was a little unnerving when more and more lions emerged from the darkness – so close that you could hear them breathing, or purring, or growling.
