With a passion for wildlife photography, it was only a matter of time (and money) before we made it to Africa. Our first trip was for Christmas of 2005 and we’ve been hooked ever since.

Despite spending almost six weeks in South Africa a month earlier, in July of 2009 we went on a mobile camping safari that began in Zambia and took us to some spectacular locations in the Okavango Detla.

In 2009, I was selected to participate in IBM’s Corporate Service Corps, a program that is designed to help develop leadership skills while addressing socio-economic challenges in emerging markets. I spent four weeks in Mpumalanga Province, and of course tacked on some vacation time to see some of the world-renowned nearby game reserves.
