Botswana
At the end of June, 2009, we went on a ten day mobile camping expedition with Wilderness Safaris. The Migration Routes itinerary included a mix of land and water-based activities, and to be completely honest, we didn’t know exactly what to expect. The trip exceeded our expectations and surprised us in so many ways.
Livingstone, Zambia After a 34 hour journey from the US, we arrived in Livingstone, Zambia where we spent two nights before our safari. In addition to Victoria Falls, walking with lions was definitely a highlight.
Linyanti Trails Camp We spent three nights at Linyanti Trails Camp, located in the Linyanti Reserve on the Western boundary of Chobe National Park. Highlights included nightly hippo visits, and game drives featuring lions, cheetah, and wild dog.
Lechwe Island Camp We spent two nights at Lechwe Island Camp, located on the Savuti Channel in the Okavango Delta. Highlights included sunset canoeing and elephants in camp.
Xigera Mokoro Trails We spent three nights at the Mokoro Trails Camp, located in the Moremi Reserve of the Okavango Delta. The highlight of this camp is its staff, the peaceful mokoro rides, and its COMPLETELY off the grid location.
