Moving on to probably my favorite cat…the elusive leopard. During our first several trips to Africa, we became painfully aware of the appropriateness of this nickname. We saw leopard tracks, leopard scat, leopard kills in trees, but rarely the actual spotty cat. For comparison purposes, our first three trips to East Africa produced the following sightings:
