Greece (and Spain)

Crete
The conference was in Crete, which made getting to Cairo look downright simple. Most of the time I was at the conference and Andy was on the beach. We did manage to see some of the surrounding villages and the Palace of Knossos.

Santorini
I couldn't travel all that way and NOT go to Santorini, so we hopped over there before our long, arduous, free flight home. Santorini was absolutely amazing and we would both go back there in a second.

Athens
Did I mention we used frequent flyer tickets? This meant a two day trip home that included a day in Athens. Not the worst place to stop - but a day was the perfect amount of time to spend in the very bustling city.

Barcelona
The other part of our frequent flyer trip home was a day in Barcelona. What an awesome surprise - somewhere we would likely have never otherwise visited turned out the be an architectural photography dream.

In June of 2003 I presented a tutorial at the 10th International Conference on Human Computer Interaction in Crete, Greece.

And of course, we tacked on a few days of vacation :)

We tried something new on this vacation - while traveling, we posted pictures taken with our Nokia 3650 camera phone. Check it out!
