We weren't supposed to arrive until 11:30, so we slept in and had breakfast in the dining room - coincidentally got seated with Butch and Chisty. We let them in on our little dinner game :) There is no pier in St. Kitts, so we anchored in the harbor and used tenders (aka life boats) to go ashore. The tendering process was unorganized but we were ashore by 11:30.

Our tender was packed with a very large and loud family from Puerto Rico, and actually crashed in to the pier before docking. We later found out that other tenders actually hit pretty hard and people got hurt. Not good. We got a cab and asked for "the closet not crowded beach". We wound up at either Friar's Bay or South Frigate Bay (we will never know). There was one small hotel, and a few huts selling food and drink. Perfect atmosphere for our last day.

Our cab came back for us around 3, and we found an internet cafe back in Basse Terre before heading back to the ship. We sat in the sun for a bit when we returned, then got ready for dinner as the ship set sail around 5:30pm.

Dinner that night was absolutely hilarious since Butch and Christy were in on our game. We were also joined again by the mystery guests - 30 minutes late as usual. Let's just say that we learned that one of our dining companions used to be a synchronized swimmer, and another of our dining companions has eaten raccoon. Oh yeah - if you ever get your hair braided in corn rows, you should clean them using a toothbrush.

After dinner, we explored the ship with Butch and Christy trying to find what we'd been missing. We first sat through the entertainment at the Americana Lounge (a bad bad comedian and a pretty good comedian/magician). Afterwards, we went to the Tahiti lounge which had a duet singing Fleetwood Mac. We sat through few songs, then decided to check out Reflections Disco. They were playing dance music, but it was full of about 10 "junior cruisers" - kids. This was the latest we'd been up all week - and we still hadn't found anything we would have missed. The last stop was Rick's Cafe - which was supposed to be a piano bar, but the piano guy didn't show up. When he finally did, he was plastered and just played a few notes and told stories about being on a first name basis with the staff entertainment manager because he was always getting in trouble. It was hilarious because we (the six people in the place) were begging him to play - play anything - and he would just ramble. We were there an hour and he played maybe 5 minutes! We think he would have been good - if he just would have played! We called it a night around 11 because we had to pack and put the luggage in the hall by 1am. Tonight's towel creature was an elephant - which we thought was awesome until we saw the towel monkey!
