Cairo
It's noisy, and they drivers are worse than Californians,
but the schlep is worth it for the photo opportunity
of a lifetime.
Alexandria
My work trip included two days in Alexandria, which
seems more European than Egyptian if you ignore the
mosques and don't wander too far off the corniche.
Luxor
An hour away from Cairo by plane and well worth the
journey. We made the most of our 24 hours in Luxor and
did some serious power-sightseeing.
What in the world brought us to Egypt?
In a word - work. Since we would have never wound up there otherwise,
we decided to take advantage of the opportunity and have Andy tag
along on a work trip with me (a rarity).
