We stayed at a small bed & breakfast at the Manzoni metro stop. Very convenient, and large room (but shared bath - blech!).

We visited the major sights, the Vatican, Sisteen Chapel (WOW!), Forum, Coliseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, etc. On our last day we ventured south to Sorrento and Pompeii - very worth the trek!
